Setting up the community and activity feed in AuctionWorx
What the feed shows, how comments and votes work, and what moderators and admins can control.

The activity feed in AuctionWorx puts bids, comments and voting into one stream on the listing page, in the style of a Reddit-like community. The product page is Community and Activity Feed for AuctionWorx; it starts from $399 (one-time, see systenics.com).
The feed
Every bid shows up in the stream with the exact amount, timestamp and bidder. Comments and votes sit in the same feed, so visitors see bidding and discussion together. Systenics presents the visible history as a way to build trust and reduce disputes. Since bidder identity and amounts are shown, think about that before enabling it on auctions where bidders expect privacy.
Comments and votes
Users comment on a listing, and others upvote or downvote. Comments can be sorted by New, Top Rated or Most Helpful. Posts can be marked as top posts for more visibility.
Moderation and badges
Admins have comment moderation controls to keep the community in order. A moderator can assign badges to specific expert users so they stand out.
Reputation
User reputation scores appear with visible contribution counts.
Mobile app
The mobile app is sold separately. There is a setup guide for it.
Feature list in full
- Activity feed: bid amounts, comments and votes in one stream.
- Top posts: posts can be marked as top posts for greater visibility.
- Voting: upvote and downvote.
- Sorted views: New, Top Rated and Most Helpful.
- User badges: assigned by a moderator to specific expert users.
- Reputation scores: visible contribution counts.
- Comment moderation: admin controls for community quality.
Systenics lists the reasons to run it as: more buyer confidence through transparent bidding, a single feed instead of separate bid and comment views, an engaged community, fewer disputes because history is visible, repeat participation, and a point of difference from competing platforms. It calls the result a Reddit-style community auction interface.
Who it’s for
Systenics’ industry pages describe community discussion for several sectors:
- Antiques and collectibles: a vintage discussion board where collectors, enthusiasts and experts share knowledge and discuss rare finds. See antiques and collectibles.
- Estate sales: a community discussion forum for appraisers, collectors, dealers and enthusiasts, with expert commentary on listings to build trust and lift sale prices. See estate sales.
- Livestock: a discussion board on the same model. See livestock auctions.
- Vehicles: a per-listing discussion hub with upvote and downvote, threaded replies, admin-pinned top comments and a community impact score in user profiles. See vehicle auctions.
Those pages describe features of Systenics’ industry suites. This add-on is the productized feed with the feature set above.
